Jonathan Brumit was crowned Mr. Amazing 2010 Saturday night in Curfman Hall at Covington High School.
He is the son of Art & Jaunice Brumit of Covington. He was sponsored in the pageant by Creative Fabrication Inc. The pageant was sponsored by the Relay for Life Team of Mountain Regional Hospice of Clifton Forge and brought in over $3000.
All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Twenty-one contestants competed for the title held by Rosean Williams.
The other runners-up were Zach Carroll, 1st Runner-Up, son of Kacy & Liza Carroll of Clifton Forge. He was sponsored by Lesa’s Barbershop.
Second runner-up was Philip Lewis, son of Audra Hill & Philip Lewis Sr. of Alleghany County. He was sponsored by Alleghany Motors.
Third runner-up was Kyle Greene, son of Lakeisha Greene and the grandson of Lavonne Pleasant of Covington. He was sponsored by Gary Pillow, Audiologist.
Fourth runner-up was Maurice Nelson, son of Melissa Nelson of Clifton Forge. He was sponsored by Michelle Shamblin of Guys & Dolls Salon.
Mr. Nice Guy, voted on by the other contestants, went to Kyle Greene.
The Audience Choice Award went to Jackson Hinkle, son of Glenn & Stephanie Hinkle of Covington. He was sponsored by The Shoe Box & Sports Center. He brought in $139.00.
Garlynda’s Fancy Feet, Patsy’s Dance Studio, and Rosean Williams and Beth Dawson provided the entertainment for the evening.
