CLIFTON FORGE – The highlight of the Clifton Forge Woman’s Club final meeting of the 2009-2010 club year held at the clubhouse May 3 was a salad bar luncheon and installation of officers for 2010-2011.

Josephine Dellinger, outgoing treasurer, performed the installation ceremony emphasizing the duties of each office and presented each officer with a plant.

The newly-elected officers are: Co-Presidents, Ann Drewry and Debby Faulkenbury; First Vice President, Debby Faulkenbury; Second Vice President, Frances Hoffman; Recording Secretary, Betty Anderson; Assistant Recording Secretary, Sue Leitch; Corresponding Secretary, Anne Koethcke and Treasurer, Reba Mandeville.

During the business session, a motion was carried to make a donation to the “Stars and Stripes” theme of the upcoming 4th of July festivities sponsored by Clifton Forge Main Street Inc.

President Drewry thanked members, who were assisted by Dr. Don Roberts, for their participation in new plantings around the clubhouse.

An advisory board meeting was scheduled for June 1 at 12:30 p.m. at Heirlooms.

Hostesses were Ora Goodbar, Sue Leitch, Mildred Wilson and Katherine Wood. Ann Wright won the 50-50.

The meeting adjourned with the reading of the club collect.
