Evelyn Shinault Wilson Clark, 79, of 4604 Johnson Creek Rd., passed from this life of pain and suffering to be with her Lord Sunday, April 11, 2010, from The Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 25, 1931, at Millboro in Bath County, a daughter of the late Raymond Rhea and Elizabeth Ellen Miller Shinault.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Wilson in 1987; and by her second husband, Harrison Clark, in 1995.

She was an employee of the former H.O. Canfield Company and retired from Halmode Apparel Inc. in 2001.

She loved shopping, camping, vacationing and spending time with her family. She had a zest for living life to its fullest and it was evident in all that she did. She was a member of Living Word Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are her two daughters, Pamela Wilson Bailey and her husband, Arnold, and Debra Wilson Noel and her husband, Mark, all of Covington; a stepdaughter, Judy Wolfe and her husband, Donald, of Covington; four stepsons, David Clark of Buchanan, Richard Clark and Boyd Clark, both of Eagle Rock and Gary Clark of Roanoke; four grandchildren, David Bailey and his wife, Erin, Cory Bailey, Shawn Thacker and his wife, Tracey, Sabrina Tucker and her husband, Adam; 12 great-grandchildren, Mia Bailey, Lucas Bailey, Cory Bailey Jr., Sidney Robinson, Remington Tucker, Dalton Tucker, Dylan Tucker, Shawn Thacker Jr., Hunter Thacker, Chiara Thacker, Lorrie Ailstock and Jake Ailstock; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; four brothers, James Shinault and his wife, Loretta, Ted Shinault and his wife, Arlene, and Earnest Shinault and his wife, Virginia, all of Covington, and Victor Shinault and his wife, Tina, of Clifton Forge; her beloved Pomeranian, “Tinker,” and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Tremblay officiating. Interment will be in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Friends may pay their respects any time at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
