The Covington Post Office, with the assistance of the COPE Food Pantry and Boy Scout Troop 31 from McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, held the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive May 8.
Letter carriers collected 11,624 pounds of food, breaking the previous record of 8,120 pounds.
All food was taken to COPE, also located at McAllister.
The Covington Post Office expressed its appreciation to everyone who contributed to the drive.
