COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands Chorale invites the community to their upcoming holiday concert on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The concert will take place at Granbery Memorial Methodist Church, located at 425 W Main Street, Covington, VA.
The Chorale, under the combined direction of Sandra Minter, Anne Scruggs, and Allan Tucker, will perform a variety of holiday favorites, including classic carols and contemporary arrangements. The concert promises to be a joyous celebration of the season, filled with beautiful music and holiday cheer, the perfect beginning to the Advent season.
Admission to the concert is by donation and will support the Chorale’s ongoing programs. Corporate co-sponsor is Arritt Funeral Home.
The Alleghany Highlands Chorale was formed in 1985 by Reverand Jack Martin as part of the Alleghany Highlands Arts Council. It is a community choir dedicated to sharing the joy of choral music within the region. They rehearse on Monday evenings and perform a variety of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, always committed to providing high-quality musical experiences for both singers and audiences. New members are welcome.
