Local VFW Presents Veteran’s Day Program in Clifton Forge

CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – To honor all USA Veterans, the Clifton Forge Veterans of Foreign Wars offered a very moving presentation for spectators on Veteran’s Day in downtown Clifton Forge.

First in line at left is Rev Thomas McHenry who led in prayer.  Second in line is Richard Shull who welcomed the group to the presentation and explained the purpose of Veteran’s Day. He told why it is important that we honor this day in remembering the numerous veterans who gave their lives for our country.

Third in line is bugalist Richard Erskine who closed the program with a very moving rendition of the National Anthem. A number of veterans and local citizens attended the presentation to remember those whose lives afford us now the possibility of meeting together for celebration.
