WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Audrey Virginia Landrum, 84, of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, Feb 10, 2010, from White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center, after an extended illness.
Born on May 29, 1925 in Alvon, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Ashby and Lelia Hardiman Dolin.
Mrs. Landrum was a member of Alvon United Methodist Church. She worked at the laundry in The Greenbrier for several years and retired from the Hanover Shoe Factory. She was very talented in many ways, enjoying arts and crafts, and all the many activites at White Sulphur Springs Care Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Ray Landrum, Oct. 14, 2000; a son, Donald Ray Landrum, Feb. 18, 2005; and sisters and brothers including, Helen Waid, Agnes Waid, Erma Lipscomb, Lindzey and Palmer Dolin.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Jean Leech of Richmond; one grandson, David (Stephanie) Leech of Richmond; one great-grandson, Kole Leech; one sister, Clevia Scitzs of Alvon; one brother, Hillard Dolan of Alvon; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
