LOW MOOR – Carolyn Sue Dunbar, 58, of 202 Crossing Lane, Low Moor, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.
She was born December 1, 1951 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Howard Alvin and Clennie Bell Kitt Tinsley.
She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of The Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of Clifton Forge. She enjoyed attending yard sales.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Lee Smith and Dreama Day Bussard.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Johnny Alvin Dunbar; two sons, Charles Lewis Dunbar and wife, Penny of Low Moor and Ikramullah Abbasi of Low Moor; a sister, Victoria Lynn Broughman and companion, Richard Tingler of Low Moor; four brothers, Roger Tinsley and wife, MaryAnn of Low Moor, Ricky Tinsley and wife, Theresa of Low Moor, Jimmy Tinsley and wife, Linda of Covington and Howard Tinsley Jr. and wife, Rosetta of Covington; two grandsons, Dillon Shane Dunbar and Austin Matthew Morris; one granddaughter, Destany Rose Taylor; and a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with the Rev. Gordon Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 202 Crossing Lane, Low Moor.
