The Rainbow Ridge Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) met at Heirlooms in Clifton Forge April 8 with the regent, Barbara Smith, presiding.
The blessing was given by Anne Koethcke.
The Pledge of Allegiance, American’s Creed, The Star Spangled Banner and Preamble to the U.S. Constitution were lead by the Regent, Barbara Smith.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer’s report was given and approved.
Letters of appreciation for donations to the Clifton forge Public Library and the Charles P. Jones Memorial Library in Covington for children’s books were read by Anne Koethcke.
The regent encouraged all members to keep informed about current events and legislation.
The program was a tour of the gardens of the late Ambrose and Bernice Ford, now owned by Don and Johnette Roberts.
The regent announced that the time and place of the next meeting would be announced later. The meeting was adjourned.
