Alleghany High School band students Will Mason, left, and Kate Mason, right, have been selected to participate in All-State Band April 8-10 in Chesapeake.
They will join approximately 250 high school students from across Virginia who were selected by audition to participate.
Will is a sophomore tuba player, while Kate is a senior horn player.
It is the first time either has been selected for All-State.
Will and Kate are the children of Mark and Melanie Mason.
Their older brother Mike, a 2008 AHS graduate, also participated in All-State Band while at AHS. (Gavin Dressler Photo)
