CLIFTON FORGE – Steven Edward “Eddie” Morgan, 49, of 613 Thornton Avenue, Clifton Forge, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

Born October 24, 1960 in Rockbridge County, Eddie was a son of Lee Roy Morgan and the late Caroline Broughman Morgan.

He was a 1979 graduate of Clifton Forge High School and was a retired machinist for Newport News Building. He was a member of Clifton Forge Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Lee Roy Morgan of Clifton Forge, he is survived by his son, Justin Morgan of Mayport Naval Station of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Brent Morgan and wife, Karen of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Andrea Morgan Collins and husband, Bill of Staunton; and three nieces and nephews, Brenna Collins, Tommy Lee Morgan and Dereck Morgan.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with the Rev. J. Glenn Linthicum officiating.

Interment will follow.

There will be no formal visitation.

However, friends may call anytime at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge or at the residence, 613 Thornton Ave, Clifton Forge, Va.
