Dana K. Burt
Dana K. Burt, 72, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by Rodney Davidson, Ethel Simpson, Robert Bush and Grace Bush.
After working thirty-five plus years in the nursing field, Dana retired. After retiring, she enjoyed camping, reading books, spending time with her family, going shopping at Ollie’s, cooking and loved and adored her dog, Cher. She loved listening to Elvis and gospel music, especially the local group, the Announcers. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved all of the lights and decorations.
Dana is survived by a sister, Rebecca Griffith of Covington; four daughters, April Sizemore of Water View, VA, Naomi Holt of Covington, Stephanie Hurt and husband, Willie of Clifton Forge and Kim Brown and husband, Earl of Covington; grandchildren, Chris Carter, Amber Mauney, Brittany Mauney, Faith Holt, Hunter Holt; step-granddaughter, Meghan Lowry, Jeremy (JJ) Brown, Emily (Emma) Brown and a step-grandson, Janson Lowry.
Following her wishes, Dana will be cremated.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted October 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Walton Memorial on Douthat Road, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends at her daughter’s home, 302 Slate Run Road, Clifton Forge.
