CLIFTON FORGE – Marsha Lynne Tyree Woodard, 57, of 739 Commercial Ave., Clifton Forge, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born May 1, 1952 in Clifton Forge, a daughter of Sarah Pendleton Tyree of Clifton Forge and the late Carl Tyree. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church and a loving mother, daughter and sister who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Jeremy Woodard of Clifton Forge, Kyle Woodard of Clifton Forge and Anthony Woodard of Roanoke; a sister, Leisa Maddy and husband Kevin of Chester; two brothers, Frank Tyree and wife Jennifer of Iron Gate and Carl Richard “Ricky” Tyree and wife Lana Sue of Newport News; five nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, Clifton Forge, with the Rev. Roger Bush officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the residence of Sarah Tyree, 424 Alleghany St., Clifton Forge.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Central United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 16, Clifton Forge, Va. 24422.
