EPA Gives Roanoke $200,000 To Assess Pollution

ROANOKE (AP) – Roanoke is getting $200,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency to assess pollution problems.

The funding is part of a national program targeting abandoned industrial and commercial properties. The grant is supposed to cover the cost of assessing sites and planning cleanup projects.

EPA says it’s giving a total $78.9 million to communities across much of the country.
