Construction continues on a new handicap access ramp at the Alleghany County Courthouse in downtown Covington.
Work started earlier this month with Hammond-Mitchell as the general contractor.
The total cost of the project is $142,000 with $120,503 being paid to Hammond-Mitchell, while Alleghany County is carrying out work totaling $21,497.
