Kathryn Sherman Craft, 77, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Chesapeake on August 11th, 2024, in Pasadena, MD. She was born in Clifton Forge, VA, to Frederick Milton Sherman and Mary Wilson Lawrence Sherman, who loved and adored her. She was known to all as compassionate and loving, with a fun sense of humor and an endearing way of connecting with others. Kathie had a profound appreciation for her country, loved her family and enjoyed many things including flowers, music, playing the piano, sports and the Christmas season. She was creative and fun, laughed a lot and encouraged others.
Most recently, Kathie attended St. Martin’s in-the-Field Episcopal Church and attended Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church throughout childhood and most of her adult life. She was a child of God, devout in prayer and now rests in eternal peace.
Kathie was predeceased by her parents and her brother, George Mitchell Sherman. She is survived by three daughters; Melissa Bekken, Beth Flattum and Katie Collier; seven grandchildren, Quintin Bekken, Carson Bekken, John Gage Collier, Mitchell Flattum, Meredith Flattum, Morgan Flattum and Cody Collier; her uncle, M.P. Lawrence; and many cherished cousins.
A private interment and Celebration of Life will be held in December.
