Last week, Vice President Kamala Harris made an ironic promise to tackle the pressing issue of inflation should she be elected to the presidency. That’s because, since 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration has taken minimal action to address this critical concern for working families. Also, I support the Chairman and the Ranking Member of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party who sent a letter to the Department of Commerce last week, voicing fears about Chinese-manufactured Wi-Fi routers. On a brighter note, I had the privilege of discussing various important topics affecting our nation on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria. As always, it is an honor to meet with my constituents across the Shenandoah Valley. These discussions during the August district work period are invaluable as I continue to work to represent Virginia’s Sixth District and advocate for commonsense policies that benefit the Commonwealth.
Vice President Harris’ Record on Inflation
Since 2021, Virginians have faced relentless hardships due to skyrocketing prices, directly fueled by the reckless government spending endorsed by the Biden-Harris Administration. Everyday expenses for American families have surged by over 20% since they assumed office. Now, Vice President Kamala Harris is attempting to distance herself from her disastrous economic policies that have decimated real wages. Kamala Harris claims “fighting to bring down prices” will be a “day one priority.”
Despite her empty promises to combat inflation if elected President, her track record over the past three and a half years tells a different story. The truth is that she has fueled inflation since day one in office and imposed an unbearable financial burden on millions of hardworking Americans. Kamala Harris was the tie-breaking vote for the $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan,” and the tie-breaking vote on the “Inflation Reduction Act” scam. Since March 2022, Kamalanomics has cost the middle class $2.4 trillion, with the average middle-class household losing at least $33,000 in real wealth. Americans’ finances are being decimated under Harris’ policies now and will continue as long as she is in office. We need economic policies that make our Nation more prosperous and affordable and put more money back into Americans’ wallets.
Fox Business with Maria Bartiromo
Last week, I had the privilege of joining Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria to address critical issues confronting our Nation. We discussed how a potential Harris-Walz Administration would result in increased illegal immigration and skyrocketing government spending, threatening to devastate the United States. If we allow this to happen, our country will continue to be led down a perilous path with consequences that could last for generations. Watch a full clip of the interview here.
Investigating the Chinese Influence on WIFI
As a member of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, I am alarmed by the risks posed by Chinese-manufactured Wi-Fi routers, specifically those from TP-Link Technologies. TP-Link, headquartered in the People’s Republic of China (PRC), is the largest provider of Wi-Fi products globally, selling over 160 million devices annually. Their routers, made with Chinese technology, raise significant concerns about potential exploitation by state-sponsored hackers. Furthermore, TP-Link must comply with strict PRC national security laws, putting sensitive U.S. information at risk.
In a letter to Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, I applaud Chairman Moolenaar and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi for expressing concerns about TP-Link’s vulnerabilities and the PRC government’s history of using such technology for cyberattacks. We must verify the threat posed by PRC-affiliated routers to ensure the safety of our nation. Read their full letter here.
