JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Peggy Ann Stockwell, 79, of Jefferson City, Tenn., and formerly of Plantation, Fla., passed away at 6 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at Parkwest Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City and also a member of Worship Center in Plantation, Fla. She was a retired office manager from Texaco Corporation with 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warner and Amanda Lowen; sisters, Jennie Jo Foutz and Beulah Karcher.

Mrs. Stockwell is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James K. Stockwell; son and daughter-in-law, Vann and Christine Stockwell of Dandridge, Tenn.; grandson, Steven Stockwell and granddaughter, Tiffany Stockwell; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Wilder officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, Tenn.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City, Tenn. (865) 475-3892.
