At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, August 19, 2024 the School Board took the following personnel action:
The School Board approved the appointments of Kristin L. Vass as Nurse Manager. Also approved was Sylvie O. Slusser as CTE/Agriculture Teacher at Covington Middle School. Shannon L. Weikle was approved as Paraprofessional/SPED at Callaghan Elementary School. Dawn S. Hamm was approved as Paraprofessional/SPED at Mountain View Elementary School. The School Board also approved Kelly S. Reed as Part Time Occupational Therapist. Honor T. Hartsfield was approved as Part Time Special Education Teacher at Alleghany High School. Scottie W. Fridley was
approved as Bus Attendant.
In Extra-Curricular activities the School Board approved Logan T. Arritt as Boys Basketball Head Coach; Charles B. Hale as Boys
Basketball Volunteer Assistant Coach; and Alan M. Hansford as Football Volunteer Assistant Coach; all at Covington Middle School.
The School Board accepted the resignations of Abigail G. Padgett; Paraprofessional/SPED at Mountain View Elementary School effective August 13, 2024; Paige C. Bradberry; Paraprofessional/SPED at Callaghan Elementary School effective August 6, 2024; Samantha L. Wolfe; JV Softball Head Coach at Alleghany High School.
The School Board has accepted the retirement of Lynn M. Agee; Bus Driver effective July 29, 2024.
