The Lone Star Advent Christian Church, 4704 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, will celebrate 114 years of ministry with their annual
homecoming service on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
The worship service will begin at 10:30am preceded by Sunday school at 9:30 and a covered dish dinner will follow the service at approximately
12:30 p.m. The service will take place in the church family life center that allows plenty of seating and space.
Special guest speaker for the worship service will be Pastor Joby Martin, senior pastor and founder of the Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville, Florida. Since launching the church in2012, he has led a movement to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. In addition to providing the Church of Eleven22 with vision and leadership, Pastor Joby is a national and international preacher and teacher. He has been married to his wife, Gretchen, for over 20 years and they have a son, JP, and a daughter, Reagan Capri. Gretchen is the daughter of Randy and Joy Nicely, Route 42 Road, Clifton Forge, and the couple was married in the Lone Star Church. The public is invited to attend the homecoming
celebration and hear, in person, this dynamic speaker.
The church and life center are located off exit 29 in Alleghany, then north on Route 42 for 1 mile to a right on Nicelytown Road, Rt.635.
