Meet & Greet events for the Candidates for U.S. Congress, VA 6th District to be held August 20

The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce is hosting three Meet and Greet events on August 20th, August 27th, and September 3rd! The Meet and Greets are being sponsored by the Chamber as an effort to encourage citizens to become more involved in local government by learning about the issues and positions of candidates. The public is encouraged to attend. 

Ken Mitchell, Democratic Candidate 
Date: Tuesday, August 20th 
Location: Historic Masonic Theatre’s Underground
Time: 6pm 

Robert Wells Jr., Independent Candidate 
Date: Tuesday, August 27th
Location: Community Room at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library
Time: 6pm 

Congressman Ben Cline, Republican Candidate 
Date: Tuesday, September 3rd
Location: Gleason Hall Auditorium of Clifton Academy
Time: 6pm 

Candidates will be introduced to the audience after a brief welcome. The floor will then be turned over to the candidate to speak. When remarks are completed, it is anticipated that the candidate will spend a few minutes to interact with attendees one-on-one before departing for the evening.
