At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, August 5, 2024 the School Board took the following personnel action:
The School Board approved the appointments of Joy R. Vance and Dayna M. Hibbetts, both as Teachers; at Callaghan Elementary School. Also approved was Vanessa M. Bowyer as Special Education Teacher; and Vera N. Cobbs as Paraprofessional/SPED; both at Jeter-Watson Elementary School. Also approved was Hannah M. Mihok as Science Teacher at Alleghany High School. The school board also approved Sabrina S. Hoylman as Part Time Food Services Worker at Mountain View Elementary School. Lacey A. Daniels was approved as Bus Driver.
In Extra-Curricular activities the School Board approved Dalton D. Esque as Football Head Coach; Michael R. Bartley as Football Assistant Coach; and Joshua R. Wells as Volunteer Assistant Coach; all at Covington Middle School.
The School Board accepted the resignations of Kevin S. Linhares; Director of Maintenance and Transportation effective July 23, 2024; Jennifer F. Hicks; Bus Attendant effective August 1, 2024; Paige M. Bradley; Teacher at Mountain View Elementary School; Lynn M. Agee; Bus Driver effective July 29, 2024; Susan E. Griffith; Nurse Manager effective September 5, 2024; Joshua R. Wells; Football Head Coach at Covington Middle School.
