LOW MOOR – Monday kicks off the 2024 Alleghany High School golf season. The Cougars will play against Wilson Memorial at the Cliff View Golf Club to open their season.
The 2024 golf season features 10 events for AHS, including two that they will be hosting at the Cliff View Golf Club. The Cougars will host their match season opener on Monday and then once again will host Wilson Memorial at Cliff View on August 18th.
Last season Alleghany’s season came to an end at the Lake Monticello Golf Course at the eight-team field in the Class 3, Region C championships which was won by Western Albemarle. Haden Spinks led the Cougars with an 87 at the event.
It was the first season coaching the program under then new head coach Archie Lemon.
It will be a busy month of August for Alleghany who will have eight of their 10 matches during the month, including three events within a four-day period.

8/29 – TRD Invitational at Hanging Rock Golf Course – 2:00 p.m.

9/4 – TRD Invitational at Olde Mill Golf Resort – 2:00 p.m.
