WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) – The Greenbrier remains a four-star resort in a national travel guide’s latest ratings.
The Forbes Travel Guide, formerly the Mobil Travel Guide, released its list of four- and five-star hotels, restaurants and spas Monday. The Greenbrier Spa also received four stars.
Owner Jim Justice has vowed to recapture the five-star rating that The Greenbrier lost in 2000.
Justice bought the White Sulphur Springs resort out of bankruptcy in May. He says it was impossible to regain a five-star rating so soon.
Jones says the resort is working to recover the fifth star next November.
Last week, AAA gave The Greenbrier its five-diamond award for the 34th consecutive year.
