Dear Sir,

Blessings for the coming season. It is upon us and The Springs Nursing Center wishes to make it a special time for some special people.

Our residents have voiced how they are looking forward to the Christmas Shop we do each year. As in the past, area residents have helped to make this such a success for them. As a reminder, here is what we are asking area residents to do to make it a success again this year.

The week before Christmas, Dec. 17, we want to have the Christmas Shop set up for residents, a shop full of gifts where they can come, pick out a few items for family or friends, get it gift wrapped and ready to give on Christmas.

This is where we need your help. Look around your home, find that piece of jewelry, bottle of aftershave or cologne, or nick-knack. We are requesting that you do not bring clothing as we have limited space to store items before the shop opens. Items that are as good as new, yet you never use or do not need would be great. Maybe a toy that could be just sitting around, yet could be given by a resident to a grandchild or great grandchild.

We can all work toward this being a special time for our residents as well as a blessing for us.

Also, the Springs Nursing Center would like to invite area church members to share their voices with our residents and staff during the holiday season. We welcome anyone whether it is your adult, youth or children’s choirs or just a group of members who like to get together to sing and fellowship.

Refreshments, hot cocoa, cookies and other delicious treats, will be served to all who join us in filling our home with sounds of the season and Christmas.

Our wish is to have enough groups to schedule two groups a week. The festivities will begin on Monday, Nov. 30 and continue through the end of December.

If you would like to join us, please contact me at 540-839-2299 to schedule a time most convenient for your group to join us.

If you have any questions about the Christmas Shop, you can contact me at the same number.

Sincerely,
Pam Crouse
