William Edward “Bill” Sanders, 77, of 411 Brentwood Drive, died Monday night at his home.
Mr. Sanders was born March 8, 1932, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Thomas E. Sanders and Sadie Tingler Sanders Anderton.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
Active pallbearers will be John Joe Williams, Robbie Scruggs, Aubrey Bowling, Dennis King, Derek Reynolds and John B. Nicely. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Stanley and Dallas McAllister.
Friends may pay their respects at anytime at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends this evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
The family suggests that donations in Mr. Sanders’ name be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, Va. 24422.
