LOW MOOR - The Alleghany County School Board will meet Monday at 6 p.m. at Mountain View Elementary School, Gleason Forum Hall.
Under community participation, the board will issue commendations to 60 Mountain View Elementary School students who earned at least one perfect score on spring Standards of Learning tests. Commendations will also be given to Alleghany High School agricultural students.
Superintendent’s reports and recommendations will include calendar information, preliminary draft revisions to the school board’s comprehensive six-year plan, an on-time graduation report, adoption of a photography textbook, pupil-teacher ratios, purchase of a mobile laptop lab, an annual report on the school nurse program and a report on capital improvements and operational maintenance.
There will be a closed session to discuss personnel matters, students matters and issues associated with a possible governmental consolidation.
