LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) – A former Liberty University administrator has pleaded guilty to trespassing.
Scott Alan Ray entered his plea Tuesday in Lynchburg General District Court.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Rebecca Wetzel says Judge Joseph Serkes gave Ray a 12-month suspended sentence. Serkes also ordered Ray to complete after-care in a drug counseling program he is attending.
Ray formerly served as director of convocation at Liberty.
He originally was charged with breaking and entering stemming from an Aug. 20 incident.
Ray faces statutory burglary charges in Campbell County involving four homes. He also is charged in Campbell County with one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug.
