SALUDA, S.C. – William Edward “Eddie” Hepler Sr., 63, of 9203 US Highway 246 South, Saluda, S.C., husband of Helen McDonald Hepler, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at his home.

Born in Potts Creek, he was a son of the late Alfred Lee and Retha Agnes Bess Hepler. He was a truck driver and was a member of Sandridge Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of the home; two daughters, Tina Hepler of Saluda, S.C. and Brooke Barnett of Lincolnton, Ga.; three sons, Gary Hepler of Greenwood, S.C., William E. “Billy” Hepler Jr. of the home and Curtis Keith Hepler of Saluda, S.C.; a sister, Sandra Miller of Covington; a brother, Jerald L. Hepler of Saluda, S.C.; grandchildren, William Lee Hepler, Katherine Brooke Hepler, Cody Hepler, Gary Allen Hepler, Chace Calliham, Colby Yarborough and Dakota James Barnett and a great grandchild, Felix Jr. Ordaz-Hepler.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sandridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Marty Dorn and the Rev. Noahleen Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jewel Dorn, Tony Hastings, Danny Harvley, Gene Williams, Darren Leopard and Chris Haynie.

The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The family is at the home.
