Dorothy Stull Hall, age 90, of 828 Vulcan Street, Clifton Forge went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2009 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
She was born April 5, 1919 in Eagle Rock, Virginia, a daughter of the late Homer and Ethel Via Stull. She was a homemaker throughout her life and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Clifton Forge. She greatly enjoyed watching all kinds of wildlife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil E. “Odie” Hall, four brothers, James Stull, Lonnie Stull, Ray Stull and Marion Stull, and a son-in-law, Johnny Van Buren.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Wanda and Richard “Dickie” Engleman of Clifton Forge, Betty and Larry Fix of Covington, and Debbie Van Buren of Selma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Stuart and Barbara Hall and Dennis and Vicki Hall, all of Millboro; two sisters, Ann S. Barger of Eagle Rock and Eleanor Bedrosian of New Port Richie, FL; eleven grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Madeline Nicely of Iron Gate.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Pam Irvine officiating. Interment will be made in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Nicely Funeral Home.
