HUBBARD, Ohio – Nicholas George Moga passed away October 22, 2009 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born May 6, 1921, son of Nicolae and Maria Beu Moga in Hubbard, Ohio. He was married to the former Helen A. Baciu of Warren, Ohio for 60 years. He went to the Hubbard school system and graduated in 1939 with a perfect attendance record. He attended Youngstown College in Engineering before enlisting in the Army in 1942. He served until 1946 when he was discharged with the rank of staff sergeant.

He worked at Powell Pressed Steel in Hubbard for 42 years. He held many positions there and completed his work as the tool room supervisor. Nick was a member of Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church in Hermitage, Pa. He served Holy Cross church as council president, council member and was instrumental in the design and building of the current sanctuary. He served on the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate Council of Jackson, Mich. as Financial Secretary and Treasurer.

He leaves his wife and two sons, Myron of Hubbard, Ohio, and Nicholas and his wife Nancy of Covington. He is survived by a sister Nora and brother Eli, both of Hubbard Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Mary and Elena.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church, 950 Maple Dr., Hermitage, Pa.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Kelley Robb Funeral Home, 709 North Main Street, Hubbard, Ohio 44425 and one hour prior to the services at the church from 9 until 10 a.m.

The family asks that no flowers be sent. It is suggested that any memorial donations be made to Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Church, Moga Trust Fund, 950 Maple Dr., Hermitage, Pa. 16148.
