Dear Sir,
We have set up a fund at First National Bank in Covington for the Cancer Center at our local hospital. We can monitor the supplies for the Center and buy whatever they need for the patients. A lot of people don’t realize that the snacks and drinks are donated. Sometimes they have very little to give to the patients. Some patients have traveled a long distance and are there for hours and they need something to eat and drink while they are having their treatment. The hospital is gracious in furnishing their lunch and fruit but you have patients that are there early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

If you need a receipt, we will make sure you get one.
Jo Josephson is a dear lady that comes from Lexington each week and volunteers her time waiting on the patients, fixing their food or just being there for moral support. The patients and nurses in the Center appreciate her presence. Jo and Priscilla know first hand what these patients are going through and can relate to them.
We are having a bake sale for the Center and doing other things to supplement the fund. We all have loved ones or know of someone that has “been there and done that.” So open up your heart and help us out. This fund does not go out of the area, it is for our local Cancer Center at Alleghany Regional Hospital.
