SWOOPE (AP) – Virginia State Police are blaming the weather for a fatal one-car accident.
First Sgt. Scott Vanlear says weather was a factor in the death of 46-year-old Clifton Forge resident Glen Allen Curtis.
Vanlear says Curtis was a passenger in a car that struck a tree near Swoope about 10 a.m. Saturday. Driver Susan Curtis and a 14-year-old passenger were injured.
Wintry weather including snow hit parts of Virginia and West Virginia on Saturday.
