Two Clifton Forge men face charges in connection with thefts that occurred in Alleghany in July.
Sheriff Kevin Hall said charges have been placed against Jason Downey of 101 Wintergreen Ave., Clifton Forge, and Gerald W. Persinger Jr., of 100 Nicholas Dr., Lot B-22.
Downey is charged with grand larceny, conspiring to commit grand larceny and two counts of receiving stolen property. Persinger is charged with grand larceny and conspiring to commit grand larceny.
Hall said the charges to relate to a July 9 theft of an all-terrain vehicle and 47-inch flat screen television from a home in Broken Arrow Subdivision.
Hall said the two men were charged by a joint investigation that included his office, the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office and the Roanoke County Sheriff’s Office. Downey and Persinger also face charges in other jurisdictions, Hall said.
The two men were arrested in December and released on bond.
