Melissa Tucker “Puddles” Dunsmore, 52, of Covington, died Friday, June 14, 2024 at her residence.
Melissa was born November 12, 1971, in Covington, a daughter of George and Eve Higgins Tucker of Covington. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Amber Paige Dunsmore; a half-sister, Rose Simmons; and her best friend, Lorette Dunsmore.
She worked for many years as a CNA in the Alleghany Highlands. Melissa was truly one of a kind. She was loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Danielle Kirk and her husband, James of White Sulphur Springs, WV; a son, Brandon Dunsmore of Lewisburg, WV; her boyfriend, Jay Kellison of Covington; two brothers, Henry Tucker, and David Tucker and his wife, Angel, all of Covington; a half-brother, Matt Simmons of Covington; two half-sisters, Sandra Richmond and her husband, Mason, of Richmond and Annie Bailey of Covington; granddaughters, Emelin Kirk and Juliana Kirk; step- children, Avery Kellison and Hazel Kellison; a niece, Hayley Tucker; one nephew,
Dawson Tucker; Charles and Charlotte Kellison; very special friends Dave and Linda Byer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Maple Dale Cemetery with Mr. Anthony Lowry officiating. The family will receive their friends from 12:30PM until 1:30PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Jay Kellison, Avery Kellison, Steven Simmons, Jeremy Dowdy, Andrew Givens and Charlie Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Dunsmore, Charles “Pee Wee” Kellison, David Byer and Mikey Richardson.
Interment will take place in Maple Dale Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, WV.
