HOT SPRINGS – The Mountain Valley Players will present

“It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” this weekend at Bath County High School.

Performances begin Friday at 7 p.m., continue Saturday with another 7 p.m. show and conclude Sunday afternoon with a 2 p.m. matinee.

Tickets are $7 per person.

The event is produced in cooperation with the Bath County Parks and Recreation Department and Bath County Public Schools.

The show is directed by Margo Oxendine and produced by Terry Kershner.

The story of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” is quite familiar. George Bailey grumbles that things may be different if he were never born. That brings Clarence, a second-class angel, to earth. If Clarence can make George change his attitude, Clarence will finally earn his wings.

The show is actually a play within a play. It takes place in a Manhattan radio station on Christmas Eve 1946 before a live studio audience.

Cast members include Jayden Becker-Norman, Keene Byrd, Rachel Camacho, Francesca DiBenedetto, Amanda Ferguson, Bill Fields, Prudence Fields, Gentry Kershner, Graham Kershner, Parke Kershner, Terry Kershner, Selena Lacks, Cathy Lowry, Claudia McAllister, Margo Oxendine, Pete Pitard, Roy Rogers, Juanita Sharp, Dorothy Stephenson, Phyllis Whetzel and Debbie Young.
