Due to community interest, the Clifton Forge Public Library is extending its Star Wars display throughout the month of June.
The display features characters from various Star Wars movies and the streaming service Disney+ that focus on the Mandalorian and the Bounty Hunters. Also included is Slave One, the attack craft used by famous bounty hunter Boba Fett. The display is part of Micah Burks’ private collection.
Micah has been a Star Wars fan and collector of the movies’ memorabilia for many years. He sites the Mandalorian series as a favorite. Included among the fifteen characters on display, all of which are kept in mint condition in their original packaging, are Koska Reeves, Boba Fett, Shae Vizia, and Axe Woves.
A life-long resident of this area, Mr. Burks is retired from the military, having served with both the Navy and the Army. He served five tours of duty – Operation Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Bosnia, Operation Somalia, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The Clifton Forge Public Library is located at 535 Church Street.
