Mrs. Judith Clark Wolfe, age 76, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2020, at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem. She was the wife of the late Donald Wayne Wolfe.
Mrs. Wolfe was born November 8, 1943 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Harrison Edward Clark and Emma Redman Clark.
She was employed as a cashier by Food Lion before her retirement. Judith was a member of First Christian Church. Mrs. Wolfe loved to cook and to bake. She was a genuine person with a heart of gold and had a smile that would light up a room and hugs that would heal your heart. Judith saw the good in everyone and never met a stranger. Most of all, she loved her family and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wolfe is survived by a daughter, Amy Wolfe Groves and husband, Billy of Covington ; a son, Donald Ray Wolfe and April Nicely of Covington; six grandchildren, Brady Groves, Walker Groves, April Blankenship, Dabney Neff, Chandler Wolfe, and Peyton Wolfe; her daughters of the heart, Heidi Williams, Lelia Tacy and Sherri Lilly; a long list of “adopted” grandchildren, Tristan Hall, Stacy Tacy, Kim Via, Juan Miller, Isabella D’Arpa, Darian Williams and Rebecca Williams; three brothers, David Clark and wife, Judy of Covington, Gary Clark and Boyd Clark and wife, Patsy of Eagle Rock; a sister, Luna German and husband, Howard of Glen Burnie, MD; special niece and nephew, Dana McCaleb and Jody Clark; a number of nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Denise McCauley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Pete” Clark and Harvey Clark.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray McCaleb, Addison McCaleb, Richard Clark, John Groves, Marshall Williams, Chad Tacy, Erwin Fender, Donnie Kelley and Chris Via.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
