LOW MOOR — Due to a plumbing issue, Alleghany High School, Covington Middle School, Jackson River Technical Center and Clifton Academy will be closed on Wednesday, March 13.
The plumbing issue unexpectedly occurred at Alleghany High School on Tuesday afternoon. AHPS maintenance workers promptly began working to address the issue.
Covington Middle School, Jackson River Technical Center and Clifton Academy will also be closed Wednesday to avoid confusion over an overlap of students and transportation. All elementary schools will be open.
Decisions about athletics and other activities at the high school will be made around mid-day Wednesday.
