Former Pulaski County resident Wm. Morgan Morris Jr., now residing in Alleghany County, will ride 800 plus miles to raise awareness for NFD (Near Fatal Drowning), pool safety, and to raise funds for his granddaughter Emily Rose McCarthy of Winter Springs, Fl. http://gofund.me/9ad1f361 ‘A Future for Emily Rose’
Morris states, though his granddaughter has made improvements since her NFD she is still profoundly impaired. Treatments that could help hasten her healing are not covered by insurance and are very costly.
Morris will begin his trip September 2nd along with his wife, Becca Linkswiler Morris, who will precede each day with their truck and camper. The plan is to travel as closely to 50 miles each day or to the next closest accommodations until they reach Winter Springs.
