BLACKSBURG – The Bath County Chargers for their first few weeks of the 2023 season were riding with just two golfers on their team. Recently, they added a third player, Nathan Hunt.

In Hunt’s first outing on the green this season, he shot a 55 as Bath County participated on the Blacksburg Municipal golf course for a Pioneer District match.

Carter Hooker for the fourth time this season led the way for the Chargers with a 50 on the green.

Meanwhile, Issac Ingram finished just two shots behind Hooker with a 52.

Bath County will be back on the golf course this coming week with back-to-back outings on the green. On Wednesday the Chargers will play host at The Homestead’s Old Course to Eastern Montgomery and Narrows in a Pioneer District match. Then on Thursday, the Chargers will play against Greenbrier East for the first time this season and James River at The Cascades.
