Sandra Lee Kidd Shaffer, age 71, of 909 Market Ave, Iron Gate, Virginia died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at her residence.

She was born February 15, 1949 in Connecticut to the late Stuart Eugene Kidd and Louise Daniel Kidd.
She was a retired phosphate molder for Parker Hannafin and a member of Iron Gate Advent Christian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Hoke and a brother, Tommy Kidd.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Johnny Dell Shaffer, Sr. of Iron Gate; two daughters, Theresa “Terri” Kern and husband Craig of Eagle Rock, Tracey Harris of Covington; a son, Johnny D. Shaffer, Jr. and partner Nathan Ellis of Honolulu, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Tyler Kern, Cassie Shaffer, Gabby Kern, Jonathan Ellis, Summer Harris, Benjamin Ellis; special aunt, Pete Obenchain; special friend, Pam Frazier; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Victor Nicely officiating.
Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service on Sunday at Nicely Funeral Home.
