Mr. Eldridge Curtis “ Elky”  Roake , age 25, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord, August 2nd, 2020 in Alleghany County.
Mr. Roake was born on September 21, 1994 in Alleghany County, the son of Mr. Lawrence and Belinda Roake.
Mr. Roake really enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors with his father and brother preparing derby cars. Elky’s nieces were his pride and joy and he loved them unconditionally. He never met a stranger and he had so many close friends. Atley Robertson, Clinton Robertson, Brandon Lee, Donnie Michaels, and Nikki Webb, were all very special to him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Roake  is survived by a sister, Brittany Martin and husband, Travis of Selma; a brother, Lawrence Graham; two nieces, Lakyn Howard and Nevaeh Howard; a very special aunt, Rose Mace of Millboro; three very close cousins who were like brothers and  a sister, Kerri Graham,  Justin Haynes, and Jeffrey Crouse Jr; a few people that he considered to be like uncles and aunts, Jeffrey Crouse Sr. and wife, Kristy and Donnie Crouse and fiancé, Janet; and  grandmother, Cora Graham, who he loved to joke around with and pick on.
Mr. Roake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eldridge Graham; grandparents, Norman and Gatrell Roake; an aunt, Ruby Haynes; a great aunt, Nannie Crouse; uncle, John Roake; a special cousin, John Mace; and his brother man, “Best Friend”, Matthew Howard.
A funeral service will be held at a later date.
