Mary Ann Tucker

Mary Ann Jones Tucker, 79, of Vassar St., Low Moor, died, Saturday July 11, 2020 at Lewis Gale Salem Medical Center.
Mrs. Tucker was born September 7,1940 the daughter of the late Paul E. Jones and Hazel Fitzgerald Jones Haynes.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Tucker in 1979, a daughter Sharon Drummond, a granddaughter Brandi Lyles, and a brother Paul Jones.
Mary retired in 1988 with 20 years of service with MeadWestVaco. She was a member of First Christian Church and a former president of the Covington Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are her two sons and daughters in law Robert and Mary Tucker and Charles and Tracy Tucker all of Covington, a daughter and son in law Donna Terry and Steven of Newport News, three grandchildren Kevin Counts, Ida Tucker, and Benjamin Tucker, four great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held Monday July 13, 2020 at Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.
The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.
