Lena Elmore

Mrs. Lena Belle Persinger Elmore, age 93, of Covington, died Sunday, September 6, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family who had taken care of her. She was the wife of the late Arthur Clarence Elmore to whom she was married for fifty-five years.
She was born February 6, 1927 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late John Ira Persinger and Clara Jane Persinger.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 11:45 A.M. to time of service at the Loving Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Cliffdale Christian Church, 4605 Upper Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426, American Heart Association Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen VA 23060 or the American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011.
