COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – There is nothing sweeter than summertime, cars, great food, kids’ activities and American Honey.
It’s all happening this Saturday, May 27, at the RiverRock Amphitheatre located at the Jackson River Sport Complex. The events kick off at 10 a.m. with a car show hosted by Kars Unlimited to honor area veterans. There will be children’s activities from 3-7 p.m. Music gets underway at 3:30 p.m. with the band One Take followed by American Honey from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Food and beverages will be available throughout the day from JKK Concessions, Shriner’s (donuts), Puff’s Barbecue and Flurries.
The band One Take is from Central Virginia and will get the summer concert series underway and rocking at 3:30 p.m. They will provide the audience with a variety of rock, party and funk music.
At 6:30 p.m., from Roanoke, is the band American Honey. This is a newly formed band, but the members are no strangers to music — they have over 30 years of combined experience. They will be performing pop and rock music until 9:30 p.m.
This is a free and public event hosted by the city of Covington in conjunction with Kars Unlimited.
