LOW MOOR, VA – The Alleghany Lady Mountaineers put on an offensive-clinic Monday in Low Moor as they pushed across 11 runs on 14 hits in their 11-3 Three Rivers District victory over the Radford Lady Bobcats.

The Bobcats struck first in the top of the first inning on an RBI single from Kira Rollins. Their lead, however, would be short lived as the Mounties came back with four runs in the home half of the inning with one swing of the bat as Abbie Fridley took a 1-1 pitch and drilled it over the left field fence for a grand-slam home run.

Facing a three-run deficit, Rollins once again provided even more offense for her Bobcats team as she dropped an 0-2 pitch into center field which brought in two runs to cut the teams deficit down to just one run.

It took an extra inning, but the Mounties would respond back to the Bobcats as they pushed across three runs in the fourth inning to take a four-run lead at 7-3. Bryce Leitch provided the team with a two-run triple and Kaylee Nicely had an RBI double.

The four-run lead would be the run support Kendell Keene needed as she would shut down the Bobcats the rest of the way. In the circle, Kenee picked up the win as she pitched a complete-game giving up three runs (two earned) on eight hits, while striking out three.

The Mounties added four more runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Kelsey Nicely who was one of four on the team with a multiple-RBI performance. Leitch and Kay. Nicely led all batters with three hits apiece.

While the 1-5 batters in the Bobcats lineup went 8-for-16 at the plate, their 6-9 batters struggled going 0-for-12 and did not reach base. Along with Ki. Rollins, Kaydence Rollins, and Addie Saunders each had two hits. Quinn Burton suffered the loss for the Bobcats as she gave up seven runs (six earned) on six hits in 3.1 innings where she walked one and struck out one.
