HOT SPRINGS, Va. (VR) – In a Pioneer District battle on the soccer field, the Bath County Chargers (3-3-1) and Eastern Montgomery Mustangs finished at a 4-4 tie in overtime.
The Chargers fell behind 3-1 in the first half before rallying with three goals in the second which forced overtime.
It was two weeks ago when the Mustangs at home blanked the Chargers 7-0. This time around the Chargers led by two goals from Andrew Turner, and Kamoy Stone kept the offense moving in the second meeting.
Defensively, Frankie DeBoe recorded 20 saves, after the Mustangs attempted 24 shots on him. Braiden Mabe led the team on steals with five.
Jesse Boston and Talan Bruce had two goals each for the Mustangs.
The Chargers host Craig County on Tuesday.
