The Lone Star Advent Christian Church located on Nicelytown Road will be hosting the 128th Virginia Conference on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Travis Hutcheson, the Regional Superintendent for the denomination from Charlotte, N.C. will be the guest speaker. The theme for the conference will be “The Bible, God’s Word; Yesterday, Today and Forever”.
Pre-conference services will be held Thursday and Friday nights at 6:30 p. m. The Praise Team from Lone Star will sing Thursday night and the Blessed Hope Quartet from Central Advent Christian Church will offer special music on Friday night.
Saturday’s schedule will be as follows:
8:00 a. m. Breakfast
9:00 a. m. Devotions with Reverend Vince Hartford
9:30 a. m. Business meeting with reports from the different churches and committees
Following the business meeting there will be a memorial service, worship by Reverend Hutcheson and the morning will draw to a close with communion given by Reverend Gene Ayers, President of the Virginia Conference.
Lunch will be served after the morning meetings for all those attending. Additional committee meetings will follow after lunch as needed.
