Lady Cougars Beat Lady Rockets, Next Onto District Semifinals

The Covington Lady Cougars saved their best performance of the season on Monday evening in a first-round Pioneer District tournament victory over the Craig County Lady Rockets 55-28.

Lauren Bragg led all scorers with a game-high 19 points and 16 rebounds. Ty’Aieja Smith added 13 points.

The Lady Cougars will play top-seeded Parry McCluer in the semifinals on Thursday.,
